Why run a membership site instead of sharing the information on YouTube or Forums?

YouTube and forums can be very helpful, but unfortunately, a lot of the information that I’ve come across is incorrect, lacking in detail, or it is intended to lure people into spending money on something. I have also found that it can be difficult to weed through the large volume of content that is out there and find the information that I’m looking for.  By running a membership website, I’ll have the flexibility to document and organize information in a way that will make it easy for members to find information and make use of it.

Why is there no advertising on OffRoadTechInfo.com?

Ha Ha, I don’t know about you, but I find it VERY annoying to get bombarded with advertisements while I’m online trying to learn and find information! At the end of the day, OffRoadTechInfo.com needs to generate revenue in order to fund tools and supplies for more research, keep the lights on, and provide some compensation for the countless hours that are being spent compiling information and putting it together for the website.  So, for now, the goal here on OffRoadTechInfo.com is to provide a relaxing add free environment with revenue generated by low cost membership fees instead of a bunch of annoying ads.

Why can’t I share member’s only content with non-members?

In order to keep the website ad free and membership fees inexpensive, it’s necessary to earn revenue from more people joining the site.  If there are only a few members and the information on the site gets distributed online or in other ways to non-members, the site won’t be able to generate enough revenue to stay in operation. So, if you’re excited about content that’s on the site or if your buddy is asking for information that is members only, please share a link to the publicly available preview for the content and encourage them to join as a member.
